WASHINGTON: Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Report says the disease has spread to his bones.

'A health check-up conducted last week after he experienced urinary symptoms, a prostrate nodule was found. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday. The Gleason score is nine (grade group five). The disease has also spread to his bones,' his office said in a press release. Although the cancer spreads very aggressively in the body, his office also shared information that the diseased cells are hormone-sensitive, so they can be better defended.

It is reported that the 82-year-old Biden will soon decide on the treatment he needs after consulting with his family. His spokesman clarified a few days ago that Joe Biden had been diagnosed with a small tumor in his bladder. Biden is currently at his residence in Wilmington, Delaware.

Biden, the 46th President of the United States, stepped down last December after a four-year term. He became president in 2021 by defeating current US President Donald Trump. Biden has been active in public forums since leaving office. It was during this time that he was diagnosed with the serious illness.
