BENGALURU: One died and three were seriously injured after a bus lost control and overturned in Kanakapura, Karnataka last day. A Karnataka State bus bound for Bengaluru lost control, hit oncoming vehicles and fell into a ditch. The accident took place in Kaggalipura, 25 km from the city centre of Bengaluru.
A police inspector travelling on a two-wheeler was also involved in the accident. He died on the spot. The bus hit the bike and dragged it for some distance before falling together into the ditch.
According to a police report. The steering cable of the bus broke which led to the accident. A case of involuntary manslaughter was filed against the bus driver.
