NEW DELHI: ISRO on Monday said that it is making all efforts to re-establish communication with the Vikram lander which is lying in a tilted position on the moon's surface. Scientists also informed that the lander is still intact despite crash landing on the lunar surface.

ISRO is currently trying to restore communication by stimulation method. It is learnt that the solar panels and the communication devices of the lander have been affected by the impact of the crash landing. However, scientists expressed hope that the stimulation method can produce a positive result. Though lander might not be entirely restored, it is believed that data collection will be possible through stimulation. This data can be helpful in determining the error that occurred during the safe landing phase which eventually resulted in the lander's crash landing. Sources said that the report regarding the errors in the last phase will be produced within two days.
