THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that there is a possibility of rain and strong winds in various places in the state today. The IMD said light/medium rain with thunder and strong winds gusting up to 40 kmph are likely at isolated places in Alappuzha in the next three hours.
Along with this, the National Oceanographic Research Centre has also issued strong warnings as part of the black sea phenomenon along the Kerala coast. It has been warned that there is a possibility of sea erosion due to waves up to 0.5 to 1.0 meters high along the Kerala coast till 8:30 pm tomorrow. Fishermen and coastal residents should be vigilant as there is a possibility of sea erosion.

All activities, including beach-based tourism, should be completely avoided until the INCOIS warning is lifted.
Fishing vessels (boats, yachts, etc.) should be safely tied up in the harbor. Maintaining a safe distance between boats can avoid the risk of collision. The safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.
Avoid trips to the beach and recreation in the sea completely.
