Plus Two student dies in accident hours after exam results, crushed in front of mother

KOTTAYAM: In a tragic incident, a Plus Two student was killed in an accident just hours after the examination results were announced. The deceased is Abidha Parvathi (18), daughter of Kottayam Thottakkad native V.T. Ramesh.

The accident occurred while Abidha was crossing the road with her mother Nisha. It happened around 6 PM on Thursday evening at Chanthakavala in Kottayam. Both were seriously injured and rushed to the district hospital by nearby passengers and shopkeepers, but Abidha could not be saved.

She was a Plus Two student at Government VHSS, Thrikkodithanam. Her exam results had been published earlier in the day. The accident and her death occurred just hours after the results were announced.

The mother and daughter were crossing the road to reach a bus stop when a car coming from the direction of the district hospital hit them. The body will be handed over to the family after the postmortem procedures.
