Man found dead with throat slit inside three-star lodge in Beypore; police doubt murder

KOZHIKODE: A man was found dead with throat slit inside a lodge in Beypore Kozhikode on Saturday. The incident took place this morning at a three-star lodge at the Harbor Road junction. The victim was identified as Solomon, a native of Kollam.

Beypore SI Raveendran has reached the spot. Police, from their initial findings, doubt this to be a case of murder.

Solomon, who was staying at another lodge nearby arrived at the three-star hotel only last night. The Kollam native’s body was found in the room of his work colleague Aneesh. The lodge staff found blood coming out of the room and then informed others. A subsequent inspection inside the room led to the dead body.

Friends who last interacted with him recalled Solomon telling them that he was going to take a bath. The lodge owner's son told a media outlet that Aneesh left the lodge for Kollam last night.
