CHOORALMALA (WAYANAD): Three-and-a-half-year-old Naisamol (Rubia), who lost her siblings and father in the Wayanad landslide and was nestled by the Prime Minister, will join the LKG class at Alif Public School in Meppadi tomorrow.
Naisamol lost her father Shahjahan, siblings Heena (16) and Faiza (12), along with four relatives in the landslide. Naisa miraculously survived with her mother Jasila. Naisa's kiss to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a private medical college in Meppadi and Modi hugging her had gone viral in the media. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Opposition Leader VD Satheesan, who came to the hospital, all met Naisa. Naisa will turn four on September 28. Naisa was excited from the moment she heard that the school was reopening. That's why her mother enrolled her in the school.
Satheesan bearing education expenses
Opposition leader VD Satheesan had promised the family that he would bear the education expenses of Naisamol. He also instructed his PA, Ajmal, to look after the child. The other day, VD Satheesan delivered the admission fee and the vehicle fare to Naisamol's family. He also informed that he would bear all the remaining expenses. VD Satheesan had also helped the family on Eid al-Fitr. Naisamol's grandmother Jamila said that this love filled their eyes.
'Everyone, including the government, is supporting us. The construction of houses for landslide victims is progressing in Elston Estate. Once it is completed, we should move there. We want to enroll Naisamol somewhere in Kalpetta.''
