Indian engineering marvel: Chenab Bridge to be dedicated to the nation on Friday

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Chenab Bridge, the world's tallest railway arch bridge, to the nation on Friday. The ceremony is scheduled for 11 AM. He will also inaugurate India’s first cable-stayed railway bridge, the Anji Bridge, and dedicate developmental projects worth over Rs 46,000 crore. The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project will also be officially inaugurated.

The Chenab Bridge is part of the USBRL project, which connects Jammu to Srinagar. At 12 noon, Prime Minister Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat train, which will pass over this iconic bridge. He will also visit the bridge deck during the ceremony.
