KOCHI: Former manager Vipin Kumar said actor Unni Mukundan has offered an unconditional apology to him. Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) have understood that the allegations raised by Unni Mukundan are totally baseless. While talking to a media, Vipin said everyone is convinced that the fault is from the side of the actor.

‘The claims of Unni Mukundan through the press conference and Facebook post have completely collapsed. What he said and conveyed are totally baseless. The truth came out in the reconciliation talks. The allegation that he is not the manager has been proven wrong. All are convinced that the mistake is from the actor’s side. I had accepted the apology in the talks. Let the legal proceedings take their course,' said Vipin Kumar.

Meantime, AMMA representative Jayan Cherthala said Unni Mukundan did not apologize during the reconciliation meeting and that the actor is not at fault. Unni Mukundan did not respond out of respect. He clarified that Vipin is the one spreading untrue things even after the talks held.

FEFKA had earlier informed that the issue between Unni Mukundan and Vipin Kumar has been resolved. General Secretary and director B Unnikrishnan said that the two were made to sit together and the issue has been resolved. He added that the organization would not interfere in the complaint filed by Vipin with the police. Unnikrishnan said Unni Mukundan's statement that Vipin was not his manager and that there were some complaints against him in the organization is wrong.

Vipin Kumar had filed a complaint alleging that Unni Mukundan had beaten him. He alleged that Unni Mukundan beat him for his positive review of Tovino Thomas' film 'Narivetta'. He was attacked on May 26 at the actor's flat in Kakkanad. Vipin had filed a complaint with the Infopark police. The complainant had alleged that he was beaten on the face, head and chest and had abused him.

However, Unni Mukundan said that he had not beaten Vipin Kumar and that he was spreading defamatory things about him. The complainant has been working with Unni Mukundan for the past several years.
