KONNI: Employee of Kalleli Estate injured in elephant attack. Vidyadharan Pillai, a native of Kalanjoor and assistant Field Officer at Kalleli Estate of Harrisons Malayalam Plantation, was injured.

The injured Vidyadharan Pillai was admitted to a private hospital in Pathanamthitta. The attack took place at 6.30 am yesterday when he arrived at the estate for work. The elephant came running when he parked his bike near the quarters in the Kalleli Rubber Division area. The elephant rushed from the top of the sloping area of ​​the estate. Vidyadharan Pillai, who was scared of the elephant, fell and injured his hand while trying to run away.
