Tragic scooter crash: Woman killed after cat jumps in front of vehicle

THRISSUR: A woman who had been under treatment after sustaining serious injuries in a scooter accident in Kodungallur has died. The deceased has been identified as Sumi (32), wife of Bineesh, a resident of Lokamaleshwaram.

The incident took place on Friday night along National Highway 66 near the Nediyathali Shiva Temple. Sumi was riding pillion with her husband when a cat suddenly darted across the road. In an attempt to avoid hitting the animal, the scooter went out of control and crashed.

Sumi suffered a severe head injury and was admitted to AR Hospital in Kodungallur, where she later passed away. She is survived by her two children, Avinash and Amritesh.
