THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar called the control room at KSRTC depots pretending as a passenger. Nine conductors who did not give accurate responses were transferred. He said that the control room is being run to report complaints and know the bus timings.

The Transport Minister has taken action before also by conducting such lightning checks. He had earlier said that the control room was not functioning properly and therefore, an app was needed for people to report complaints and provide them with other services. This was followed by the minister calling pretending to be a passenger.

When the minister called first, no one picked up the phone. When he called later, he asked questions but did not get a proper answer. After that, Ganesh Kumar called the KSRTC MD and informed him to transfer those who were on duty at that time to the parent department. Nine people, including women employees, have been transferred to various depots from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram.
