Want to know quality of medicine you buy? Mobile app to check it yourself coming soon

An application to check the quality of the medicines we buy will soon be available. The MedWatch mobile app is being developed by the Kerala State Drugs Control Department.

Quality information and more will be available immediately by entering the batch number and name of the medicine in the application. Currently, this is available only to drug testing laboratories and hospitals.

The application will be linked to the country's authorized drug testing laboratories. When the medicine is tested in the lab and the results are updated, it will be available in the application as well. The sample module portal under the Drugs Control Department will also be linked to the app. If there are quality issues, it will also be updated. Notifications will also be received. The information of the app users will be safe. MedWatch will also ensure transparency in sales. The Startup Mission or C-DIT will be given the task of setting up the application.
