Popular sound engineer Kapil Ranji Thampan dies in tragic car accident in Canada

PATHANAMTHITTA: Kapil Ranji Thampan (42), a sound engineer and native of Maramon, died in a car accident in Canada. The accident took place on the Caledonia-Hamilton Highway the other day.

Kapil worked as a sound engineer at Radio Voice, the first private FM radio station in Bahrain, for six years and was a popular name in the country.

Kapil Ranji Thampan, who composed music for radio jingles and advertisements, had also worked on several albums. He was also a recipient of many awards. Kapil leaves behind his wife Ambili, and children Lyra and Liora.
