KOLLAM: A five-year-old boy, who was seriously injured after the glass of a teapoy broke, has died. The tragic incident happened at Kundara in Kollam. The dead is Aden, youngest son of Suneesh and Ruby. The child who was injured in the accident that happened yesterday succumbed to his injuries this morning while undergoing treatment.

Only Aden and his mother were at home last evening. His father had taken their eldest child for tuition. After making Aden sit in the hall of the house, his mother Ruby went for

a bath. When she came after the bath, saw Aden seriously injured from the broken glass of the teapoy. Although he was taken to the hospital with the help of her neighbours, the boy was in a weak condition after bleeding profusely. The glass pieces had pierced his legs and thighs.

What led to the accident is still unclear. The police have launched an investigation. When Ruby came after the bath, she saw a broken teapoy near the door and the boy in a weak condition. The initial conclusion is that the accident may have happened when the child moved the teapoy near the door and tried to climb on top of it to take the lock of the door, causing the glass to break.
