LEEDS: With just days remaining for the Test series against England, beginning on June 20, India's head coach Gautam Gambhir has returned to India from England. The reason for his return was his mother suffering a heart attack. Seema Gambhir, Gautam Gambhir's mother, suffered a heart attack on June 11.

The five-match series will be India's first series under the captaincy of new skipper Shubman Gill. Gambhir is expected to rejoin the team on June 17, three days before the first test at Headingley in Leeds.

This will be India's first tour of England after the retirement of legendary players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and R Ashwin from Test cricket. The series marks the beginning of a new era in Indian cricket under the leadership of Gill and Gambhir.
