NEW DELHI: An attempt was made to enter the cockpit after a fight broke out between female passengers on a SpiceJet flight. The dramatic incident took place on SpiceJet SG 9282 flight, which was preparing to take off from Delhi to Mumbai at 12:30 pm on Monday. The passengers got into an argument while the plane was moving on the runway. Later, both of them were taken off the plane and handed over to security officials.
Despite repeated requests from the cabin crew, fellow passengers, and the captain to return to their seats, the women continued to argue, causing inconvenience to other passengers. Later, when the argument escalated to the cockpit and disrupted the flight, the pilots returned the plane to the terminal.
Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers and crew, the captain decided to return the plane to the bay. The two women passengers were then handed over to the CISF. The flight was delayed for about seven hours following the incident. The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 12:30, departed at 7:21. The women who caused inconvenience to the passengers were taken into custody by the Central Industrial Security Force.
