PATHANAMTHITTA: Complaint of fraud in the name of vehicle insurance. A native of Anchalummood, Kollam, lost Rs. 11,800. The fraud was committed by a company called UNZ Business Solution Private Limited, which operates near a private bus stand in Kattappana town, Idukki, according to the complaint filed by Manoj, who lives at Anchalummood, Kollam.

The insurance for Manoj's pickup truck expires on the 27th of this month. The woman, who introduced herself as Arya, informed that the policy would expire on the 13th and that there was an opportunity to renew the policy at a discounted rate. Manoj Kumar, who was on a trip, told her that he could renew the policy after returning home. However, she called the next day and informed him that this opportunity was only for a limited number of days. The promise was to give a policy of Rs. 21,000 for Rs. 11,800. On the 15th, the money was transferred from the Chavara branch of Union Bank to the company's Bank of Baroda branch in Kattappana through the account. After this, the woman did not pay the policy, citing various reasons. Finally, when she did not answer the phone, Manoj contacted the company from where he had previously taken the policy. They informed that she had previously worked in this company and was no longer there. Following this, a complaint was filed with the Cyber Cell and the Idukki DySP yesterday. The police have started an investigation.
