‘He will first harass her, then apologizes saying he does not remember anything’; Athulya was subjected to brutal torture

KOLLAM: Athulya of Kollam, who was found dead in her flat in Sharjah was subjected to brutal harassment. Athulya’s audio message sent to her friend had surfaced. Her message said that he often kicks her. Despite all this, she has to live with him. She clarified that she is not taking any drastic step as she has no courage for that. More allegations were levelled against her husband Satheesh. Athulya's friend told media that she got engaged when she was 17 and tied the knot at 18.

‘Physical and mental torture continued. But she loved him very much. Her family had asked her to desert him and come home. He often apologized to her saying that he does not remember anything what he has done. She will then decide to live with him again,' revealed her friend.

Meantime, the police have registered a case against her husband Satheesh in the incident. The Chavara Thekkumbhagam police have registered a case of murder on the complaint filed by Athulya's family. Charges of physical abuse and dowry harassment have also been imposed. The complaint filed by the family said that he had tortured Athulya in the name of dowry. Athulya Satheesh (30) of Koyivila Athulya Bhavan, at Chavara Thekkumbhagam in Kollam was found hanging in a flat in Sharjah. The incident happened on Friday night.
