'Did husband say 'no' to movies?' Actor Jayaram's daughter Malavika responds

Actor Jayaram and his son Kalidas acted together in notable Malayalam movies like ‘Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal’ and ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’. They last appeared together almost two decades ago. The father-son pair is teaming up again for ‘Ashakal Ayiram’, a new movie under the banner of Gokulam Cinemas.

During the Pooja ceremony of the movie, Jayaram’s daughter Malavika responded to her decision to stay away from the limelight, which has now gone viral.

MALAVIKA:

“Though I did an advertisement with my father, the thought of continuing in the industry never came to me. I have not acted in a movie, even before or after marriage. My husband has not given me any ultimatum to not act or otherwise. I am not that comfortable when it comes to standing in front of the camera. I prefer to work with a crew that I’m suitable with.

My father and brother are going to act together in a movie. It won’t be any difficult for them as they only need to be like what they are at home. They both share a good camaraderie.”

Malavika's husband is Navneet, a native of Nenmara, Palakkad. Navneet is a chartered accountant in the UK. Malavika had acted in the Tamil music video 'Mayam Seitha Poove'. Actor Ashok Selvan appeared as Malavika's pair in this music video.
