THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC is preparing plans to start its own professional singing troupe. The novel plan comes on the instructions of Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar. KSRTC employees and their family members will get the opportunity to become members of the troupe. Those proficient in singing and handling musical instruments can apply to become members. The last date for submitting applications is September 29.

Interested people can apply with videos of their performances. The video should be no less than three minutes and no more than five minutes long. At the beginning of the video, the candidate should introduce themselves by including their name, position, relationship to the employee (if they are a family member), the unit they work in, and their mobile number.

Those selected from the video will get the opportunity to prove their talent. If the candidate has a certificate proving proficiency, it should also be submitted. Entries should be submitted to the Chief Office through the Unit Officer. They can be submitted via email at ksrtcexpo@gmail.com or via WhatsApp at 9497001474. Entries received after the specified time will not be considered.

The impetus for the new reform came after few videos of KSRTC employees singing during tourism trips became viral on social media. Recently, KSRTC even started their own cricket team.
