Plastic bottles inside KSRTC bus; Driver transferred to Thrissur depot after facing minister's ire

KOTTAYAM: A KSRTC driver faced punishment transfer for stocking plastic bottles inside the bus. Driver Jaimon Joseph was transferred from Ponkunnam depot to Puthukkad in Thrissur. Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar had reprimanded the driver for stacking empty and used plastic bottles at the front of the bus.

The incident took place in Ayoor Kollam. The Minister personally stopped the Ponkunnam Fast Passenger Bus, which was coming from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram, and conducted an inspection.

The minister criticised the act as outrageous, despite the department putting great effort into educating staff on upholding cleanliness.
