THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government is launching a Nava Kerala Welfare Survey to understand public opinion before the elections. The government's move is to conduct a survey by directly visiting 80 lakh houses in the state. The chief minister's office will directly coordinate and evaluate the survey.

The main objective of the survey is to evaluate the welfare schemes of the state government. The government plans to conduct a house-to-house data collection by sending college students on the model of a literacy survey. A team of officials including chief principal secretary K M Abraham has prepared a detailed module for the survey.
