Brain cancer takes life of Congress leader: Corporation Councilor C Omana passes away

VIZHINJAM: Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mullur Ward Councilor C Omana (71) passed away. She was undergoing treatment for brain cancer.

Husband: Sadashivan Nadar.
Children: Sujamani, Sushamani, Sujeshkumar.
In-laws: Anandakumar, Prathap, Radhika.

She has held various positions including Vizhinjam Grama Panchayat member, Chairperson of the Welfare Standing Committee in Athiyannur Block Panchayat for two consecutive terms, Councilor in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation for three consecutive terms, Member of the Governing Body of Kidarakkuzhi Service Cooperative Bank for 40 consecutive years, President of Indian National Congress Vizhinjam Constituency, President of Mahila Congress Kovalam Constituency, and Member of DCC.
