THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala’s third Vande Bharat Express will begin service next week on the Ernakulam–Bengaluru route. It was BJP State President and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar who announced the news through a Facebook post.
A Vande Bharat service from Kerala to Bengaluru has been a long-standing demand of Malayalis. With the launch of the new Vande Bharat Express, it is expected that such overcharging will be reduced to some extent.

“Kerala’s third Vande Bharat- Modi Ji’s signature gift for Kerala Piravi! The long-cherished dream of Malayalis- the Bengaluru–Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express- will start service next week. I had raised this demand before the Central Government, and I’m proud that approval was granted quickly and the journey has now become a reality. This reflects the politics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance- a government that keeps its promises.
My heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for making this dream come true. The new service will make travel between Bengaluru and Kerala faster, safer, and more comfortable for thousands of Malayalis, including IT professionals and students.”
