THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: N Vasu, former Devaswom Board president and commissioner has been arrested in the Sabarimala gold theft case. He is the third accused in the door frame case. He was earlier questioned by the special investigation team.

The special investigation team (SIT) had found that when Vasu was the Devaswom Commissioner, the gold was recorded as copper. The statements of the arrested board officials were also against Vasu.

The SIT has been questioning Vasu for the last two days. When the investigating officers asked about the corrections made in the documents, Vasu had no reply. He was summoned at the office in Eanchakkal and registered his arrest after interrogation. He will be produced before the magistrate today itself.

The arrested Sudheesh Kumar was the Sabarimala Executive Officer and later worked as Vasu's personal assistant. Vasu had twice served as devaswom commissioner. There will be more arrests in the coming days.
