Youth of Kollam beaten with spatula for questioning delay of food

MUNNAR: A street vendor attacked a youth, who questioned him about not being served food despite placing an order and waiting. The shopkeeper attacked the youth, a tourist, by hitting him on the head with a spatula. The injured youth of Kollam identified as M Shamnad (33) is undergoing treatment at Tata Tea Hospital. The incident happened at the street shop at Post Kavala around 10 pm on Wednesday.

The youth along with his friend came to the shop to have food at night. Despite placing an order and waiting, he did not get his food and instead served food to those who came after them. In an argument that ensued after this, the shopkeeper started attacking him with an iron spatula. He hit him on his head and face leading to injuries. He was taken to the hospital by his friend and locals. The police have registered a case in the incident.
