'Dawood Ibrahim' found dead in Kerala; epileptic seizure suspected

VARKALA: A Tamil Nadu native who had come for a vacation was found dead after drowning in a swimming pool at a private resort in Varkala North Cliff. The deceased has been identified as Dawood Ibrahim (25) from Moonjikal, Kodaikanal. The death was reported to the Varkala police at around 10 am on Friday by the hotel staff. Dawood Ibrahim had arrived in Varkala with a group of around 40 people, including women and children. The initial conclusion is that he may have had an epileptic seizure while swimming.

The police recorded the statements of those who were with him and the resort staff. The body was shifted to the Paripally Medical College Hospital morgue after completing the formalities. Varkala police said that the exact cause of death will be clear only after receiving the postmortem report.
