Road collapses after pipeline bursts at Malaparamba in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: An underground water pipe burst in Malaparamba, creating a large crater on the road. The pipe burst Monday morning on the Malaparamba Florican Road. The road collapsed and the water flowed into the next three houses. Traffic on the road is blocked.

The main drinking water pipe had burst. The water authority officials have clarified that drinking water supply will be disrupted in the area on Monday and Tuesday. The officials have also informed that it will take time to replace the broken pipe and there will be a delay in the supply of drinking water.

The locals complain that the pipe bursts here are regular. By the time the locals reached the spot after hearing the sound of the pipe bursting, water had entered the steps of the houses.
