Tamil actor Vishal visits Varahi Panchami Devi temple in Anayara

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Famous Tamil actor Vishal visited the Varahi Panchami Devi temple in Anayara. Vishal and his manager reached the temple from the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at around 9.28 am on Monday. It was through his friends that Vishal came to know about the only Varahi Panchami temple in Kerala.

The cine star, who arrived in plain clothes, was welcomed with applause by the devotees. To improve health, a Kaivattaka Guruthi Pooja was performed for Vishal with Mavelikkara Prashanth Namboothiri as the chief officiator. Although Vishal wanted to visit the Attukal temple, the lack of time forced him to change plans.

NDA candidate Ashok Kumar from Pettah ward, LDF candidate SP Deepak, temple trust president V. Babu, vice president R. Rajeev, treasurer Saju Sukumaran, secretary K. Sasidharan, joint secretary M. Vipin, and serial film actress Maya Viswanath were also at the temple. UDF candidate D. Anil Kumar reached late and could not meet Vishal. The actor, who completed his darshan in 5 minutes, returned and assured that he would come to the temple after two weeks.
