Car blocks ambulance carrying critically ill dialysis patient; MVD to take action

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) has started an investigation for the car which blocked the ambulance carrying a critically ill patient. The incident happened between Peroorkada and Vazhayila last Saturday at 10.30 pm. The car blocked the ambulance carrying an unconscious patient identified as Krishna Kumar from Vattapara SUT Hospital.

The ambulance was carrying the patient to S K Hospital for dialysis. Even after honking many times, the car refused to give way. The ambulance was later allowed to pass after blocking the road for a long time. However, the ambulance driver has so far not filed a complaint with the police. MVD begins investigation based on the visuals.
