Deaf and mute middle-aged man dies after being hit by train

KOZHIKODE: In a tragic incident, a middle-aged man died after being hit by a train in Vadakara. The deceased has been identified as Kanakan, a native of Kuriyadi. Kanakan, who was deaf and mute, was walking along the railway tracks when the accident occurred. He was hit by the Intercity Express, which was travelling to the Kozhikode side.

The other day, two nursing students from Kerala were killed in Bengaluru after being hit by a Vande Bharat train. The accident occurred at the Chikkabanavara railway station. The deceased are Pathanamthitta natives Sterlin Elisa Shaji (19) and Justin Joseph. Both of them were students of Saptagiri College in Bengaluru. According to sources, both of them were crossing the railway tracks when they were hit by the Vande Bharat train travelling from Bengaluru to Belagavi.
