PALAKKAD: Some unruly scenes were witnessed when congress leader Ramesh Chennithala was talking to the media. When Chennithala was speaking very calmly to questions about Rahul, the Congress activists created a commotion. They attacked the journalists, asking why they were not asking about the Sabarimala issue. Many pushed, shoved and tried to beat them.

The activists intervened without even allowing Chennithala to speak. The activists did not allow the media to ask more questions. Later, other leaders intervened and shifted the activists to another place.

Meantime, the general opinion is that Rahul should be expelled from the party after the sexual abuse complaints filed. Many Congress leaders responded to the media about this. Shafi Parambil MP said the party's decision is the same as his. Personal intimacy will not affect the party's decision. Shafi said that my understanding and my closeness will not affect the Congress.
