KABUL: A 13-year-old boy publicly implemented the death sentence of the convict, who killed 13 members of his family in Afghanistan. The incident was held at a stadium in Khost yesterday. The video of it is widely circulating in social media. As per media reports, more than 80, 000 people gathered at the stadium to witness the execution.

13 including nine children of his family were murdered. Taliban officials had earlier found that a man named Mangal was behind the murder. The Supreme Court of Afghanistan had found him guilty in the case. The supreme leader of Taliban Hibatullah Akhundzada had given permission to execute the death sentence.
However, there were criticisms worldwide for implementing the execution publicly. UN officially termed the action as inhumane, cruel and against international law. The Supreme Court of Afghanistan informed that this is the 11th death sentence implemented by Taliban legally after 2021.

Before the execution, Taliban officials asked the boy whether he is ready to forgive the accused. The weapon was handed over as the boy refused. The details regarding the incident were explained by Mustaghfir Gorbaz, the spokesperson of Taliban governor at Khost. Mangal killed the family of the boy ten months ago. The court found Mangal guilty after the procedures at the first instance court, appeal court and supreme Court.
