Neither flowers nor fruits, a tree full of used diapers; criticism follows

LUCKNOW: Civic sense must be practised by every individual. Everybody must ensure to uphold cleanliness and civic sense before pointing fingers at the authority for their failure in waste management. Like that, a video circulating on social media has initiated a discussion on civic sense in India.

A video of a tree outside a two-storied building, full of used diapers hanging from it, is circulating on social media. It is assumed that the video was shot in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Social media influencer Shweta Kataria, who constantly shares content promoting sustainable lifestyle, shared this video which is now going viral.

The video begins with a shot of the house. The next shot shows the state of the nearby tree, with most branches hanging more than one diaper. It was shown that the nearby house had a toddler, which tells the story behind how the diapers ended up in the tree.

Managing waste diapers is challenging. Many suggest that cloth diapers can reduce this crisis. Experts say this choice would not affect the environment and at the same time will be beneficial for the baby skin.
