Three-year-old boy dies after falling into septic tank

THALASSERY: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy died after falling into an uncovered septic tank at a house under construction. The incident took place in Kadirur. The child, Marwan, was the son of Kadirur native Anshil.

The septic tank had been filled with water after cementing work to check for leakage.

In the evening, after returning home from the Anganwadi, the child went to play at a nearby relative’s house. When he was not seen for some time, family members and neighbours started searching for him. They eventually found him unconscious inside the septic tank of the under-construction house next to the family home. He was rushed to the hospital, but could not be saved. Kadirur Police arrived at the spot.
