Class Three student dies after being bitten by snake

VARKALA: A Class 3 student died after being bitten by a snake. The deceased has been identified as Adinath (8), the only son of Ambu Viswanath and Athidi Sathyan of Janardhanapuram. The incident happened around 6.45 pm yesterday. The child unknowingly stepped on a snake lying on the front steps of the house and was bitten.

He was first taken to Parippally Medical College and later shifted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, but he died around 11 pm on the way. The funeral will be held today at 10 am in the house compound. Adinath was a student of Janardhanapuram Government MVLP School.
