Gold chain removed for scanning goes missing from private hospital in Vadakara

KOZHIKODE: The police have registered a case in the incident of losing a gold chain of five sovereigns removed at the time of scanning. The incident happened at the Baby Memorial Hospital at Vadakara in Kozhikode. The chain belonged to Sameera.

She was under treatment for pneumonia in the hospital. When she was taken for scanning, she removed the chain and kept it on the bed there. When she reached the ward after scanning, she realised that she had not taken her chain.

When she went there for the chain, it was found missing. The Vadakara police registered the case on her complaint. The police recorded the statements of the employees and the patients who came for scanning. The case is investigated by sub inspector P V Prashanth. Meantime, although the patient has been discharged from the hospital, she said that she will not leave the hospital without her chain. The police then intervened to send her.
