Malayali driver in Dubai wins Rs 24 lakh prize in Abu Dhabi Big Ticket

ABU DHABI: A Malayali expatriate ended up winning the second E-draw of Abu Dhabi Big Ticket in December. The lucky winner is Basheer Kaipuram (57), a driver in Dubai. Basheer received a prize of one lakh dirhams, equivalent to Rs 2,438,582. Basheer expressed happiness and surprise over his luck and said that he would send the prize money to his family back home.

Chennai natives Vinayaga Murthy, Mohammed Javed Rajbhari and Shakthi Vinayagam are the other winners from India. Bhobaraj Khai from Bangladesh is the fifth winner. The grand prize is Dh30 million in December. The live draw will be on January 3. Five winners will receive Dh50,000 each as a consolation prize, while weekly e-draws, big win competitions and the Dream Car Series will continue.
