Housemaid held for stealing gold of Rs 7 lakh

PATHANAMTHITTA: A woman has been held for stealing gold of Rs 7 lakh. The one held is Sujatha of Pathanamthitta. The gold was stolen from the house of Rajesh of Muttom. The theft was reported on December 25th.

Sujatha was appointed as the housemaid here. She then stole the gold kept in the cupboard. She was staying in a rented house at Thottumkara in Muttom. Some gold ornaments were retrieved from her house in a search conducted.
