India International Industrial Expo to commence on January 16 in Kochi

KOCHI: The second edition of the India International Industrial Expo, along with the Industrial Mega Summit, jointly organised by the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) and Metro Mart, will be held from January 16 to 18, 2026, at the Adlux International Convention Centre, Kochi. The event is being conducted with the cooperation of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala, and the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

The Expo will be formally inaugurated on January 16 at 10:30 AM by K. Krishnankutty, Minister for Electricity, Government of Kerala.

The Industrial Mega Summit, a key highlight of the event, will be inaugurated on January 18 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, George Kurian, will attend as the Chief Guest, while Minister for Industries and Commerce, P. Rajeev, will deliver the keynote address. Leader of the Opposition V. D. Satheesan and Deputy Leader of the Opposition P K Kunhalikutty will also be present.

Recognised as South India’s largest international industrial exhibition, the Expo will feature nearly 500 stalls, showcasing approximately 50,000 products. Leading machinery manufacturers from across India will present cutting-edge technologies and innovative industrial solutions.

A media conclave, organised in association with the Ernakulam Press Club, will be held alongside the Expo on the theme “From Visibility to Credibility: How Media Shapes Business Success.” On the second day, a seminar focusing on “Practical Implementation and Governance of Ease of Doing Business at the Grassroots Level” will also be conducted. The seminar will be inaugurated by M. B. Rajesh, Minister for the Local Self Government Department & Excise, Government of Kerala.

A dedicated Kerala Pavilion, organised by the Department of Industries and Commerce, will be a major attraction. To support aspiring entrepreneurs, special help desks will be set up to facilitate interactions with machinery manufacturers and banking institutions for easier access to finance.

Another major highlight is the concurrent mega industrial meet, expected to witness the participation of over 10,000 KSSIA member industrialists from all 14 districts of Kerala, along with representatives from 18 industry-affiliated sectoral organisations.

The three-day event will be attended by several dignitaries, including Members of Parliament, MLAs, the Additional Chief Secretary, Central MSME Director, Director of Industries and Commerce, the Thrissur MSME Director, and other senior government officials. The Expo will host seminars, panel discussions, buyer–seller meets, and vendor development programmes, aimed at promoting global market expansion for Indian industries.

The press conference announcing the event was attended by A. Nizarudeen (State President, KSSIA), K.P. Ramachandran Nair (Chairman, IIIE), Joseph Paikada (General Secretary), B. Jayakrishnan (Treasurer), Siji Nair (CEO, IIIE), K V Anvar (Joint Secretary), P J Jose (State Vice President), N. P. Antony (Programme Committee Chairman) and KV Anvar (KSSIA State Secretary)
