Report if found anything unusual on railway tracks, warns of train sabotage on Republic Day

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The central intelligence agencies have warned that there is a possibility of sabotage towards train services in the country on Republic Day. In this situation, the railway protection force has strictly directed the officials to strengthen security precautions. The public and officials have been directed to report if found anything unusual on the railway tracks.


The authorities have informed that construction materials or other objects should be avoided carelessly placed near the railway tracks and that they should be kept safe. Surveillance should be intensified in all important railway stations. All precautions should be taken to prevent untoward incidents, among other instructions. A special circular has been issued by the railways for this purpose.
