BJP fined Rs 20 lakh for unauthorised flex boards; Corporation official transferred

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation has transferred an official who imposed a Rs 20 lakh fine on the BJP for putting up unauthorised flex boards during the Prime Minister’s visit. G. Shiney, the Corporation Revenue Officer, has been transferred from the revenue section.

The BJP was fined Rs 20 lakh for installing the flex boards across the city without authorisation. Additionally, a case was filed against the BJP district president following a complaint from the corporation. The official’s transfer comes in the wake of these developments.
