Jemimah Rodrigues shines with the bat; Delhi Capitals all set to end trophy jinx

VADODARA: Delhi Capitals amassed a huge total in the final of the fourth season of the Women's Premier League. Captain Jemimah Rodrigues's half-century helped Delhi Capitals score 203 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs against RCB. Delhi, which reached the final in the first three seasons, is hoping to win its maiden title this time and end the title jinx.

Openers Lizelle Lee (37) and Shafali Verma (20) gave a good start. South African Laura Wolvaardt (44) and captain Jemimah Rodrigues (57) made a great partnership. Shinel Henry remained unbeaten on 35 runs off 15 balls. Shinel hit four fours and two sixes, ensuring Delhi crossed the 200-run mark.

Jemimah Rodrigues' innings included eight boundaries. Sayali Satghare, Arundhati Reddy and Nadine de Klerk took one wicket each for RCB.
