Ajith Kumar in Dubai amid Middle East tensions, but is he safe? Updates out

Tamil film star and professional racer Ajith Kumar has been stuck in the UAE under the travel ban following the sudden escalation of the Israel-US-Iran conflict.

Actor and racing enthusiast Ajith Kumar has been preparing intensively for international competitions. He made a remarkable return to motorsports, achieving a podium finish at the 2025 24H Dubai endurance race. Despite a practice session crash, he led his team, Ajith Kumar Racing, to 3rd place in the 991 category and earned the "Spirit of the Race" award.

The actor, who was in Abu Dhabi for intensive training ahead of an upcoming racing event, is currently unable to return to Chennai as flights from Dubai have been suspended due to Middle East tensions.

Ajith's manager Suresh confirmed that the actor had returned from the airport after being unable to fly out as scheduled. “He was supposed to leave yesterday, but had to return from the airport. He is now safe in Dubai," said his manager.

Ajith has been spending more time in the UAE due to his passion for motorsports.

Ajith explained the reason for his move to Dubai in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India in 2025. "I moved to Dubai for that reason - to stay away from all the noise. I'm primarily here for motorsports since most of the major circuits are based here. It's helping me. I'm having to do everything by myself, and I'm loving it," he said.

Opening up about how he has changed over the years, Ajith added, "If you had met me 20 years ago, you'd have probably hated me. It's not that I was spoiled, but I probably had too many people around me. It makes life difficult."
