KOCHI: Woman activist Bindu Ammini has said there wasn’t any kind of conspiracy behind her decision to go to Sabarimala. “I came here only because Bhumata Brigade founder Trupti Desai asked me to come. However, if the State government doesn’t provide us with security, we shall file the contempt of court petition against the government,” she said on Tuesday.
“I had earlier said that I would give support to those who wish to go to Sabarimala. According to this, Trupti sought my help and so I came to join her,” Bindu added.
Bindu told this to media persons while she was being whisked away to a safe place from Kochi Commissioner's office after being attacked. Trupti Desai and team had reached Nedumbassery airport at around 5 am on Tuesday.
Four members of her organisation were also present. Bindu joined her at Kochi police commissioner office.
After coming to know about the arrival of women’s team for Sabarimala darshan, protestors led by BJP leader C G Rajagopal gathered at Commissioner Office and protested. One of the protesters sprayed pepper spray on Bindu Ammini’s face at Kochi Commissioner’s office.
