KOTTAYAM: The post-mortem of Anju Shaji who committed suicide following allegation of cheating will be conducted at the Kottayam Medical College today. Anju’s body was recovered from Meenachil River after she was barred from writing the exam for copying. She was a native of Kanjirapally.

The police will reach M G University to seek an explanation from exam controller to know whether BVM College functioned in accordance with the criteria. Whether a case should be taken against the college will be decided later. Presently a case for unnatural death has been registered.

Her father alleged that she was mentally harassed by the college authorities. However, Cherpunkal BVM College denied the allegation and exposed the footages of Anju copying during the exams. The police said that she jumped from the Cherpunkal Bridge to the Meenchil River.
