Ninth standard student found hanging in house in Pathanamthitta

THENGAMAM (PATHANAMTHITTA): A ninth standard student was founded hanging in house here. Krishna Ganesh (13), daughter of Geetha and Ganesh of Geetha Bhavan, has been identified as the deceased.

Ganesh, a mason, left for his work after giving his phone to Krishna and elder sister Sreelakshmi for their online classes. Geetha went for National Rural Employment Guarantee work. At around 10 am, Ganesh came to the house for fetching his work materials, Krishna was sweeping. She talked with Ganesh and he didn't feel any problem. Ganesh left with his work materials. Sreelakshmi went to a house nearby.

Ganesh returned by 12.30 noon and called Krishna to have food. The room was closed and on opening the door, Krishna was found hanging. On hearing the scream, neighbours rushed here and helped take Krishna to the hospital but she succumbed on the way.

Adoor police and forensic expert collected evidence. There is no mystery in the death as per the primary investigation, police officials said. The body has been shifted to Kottayam Medical College for postmortem.

Krishna was a student of Thengamam Govt Higher Secondary School. Her sister Sreelakshmi is a second year degree student at NSS College, Pandalam.
