THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister KK Shailaja on Monday said that she does not intend to comment on KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran's controversial remarks as the Chief Minister has already responded on the matter. Earlier, Mullappally Ramachandran had stirred up a controversy by stating that the health minister is trying to earn the title of 'Covid queen' after earning the title of 'Nipah princess'.

"She first played a 'guest role' when Nipah struck Kozhikode and earned the title 'Nipah princess'. Now she is trying to earn the title of 'Covid queen' when our diaspora is waiting to return to their home town," Mullappally said while taking part at the protest held in front of the Secretariat.

Following this several Left leaders including chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan lashed out at Mullappally over the remark.
