THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With 27 more persons testing positive for coronavirus in the state capital, the district administration is planning to enforce stringent measures to contain the outbreak. What is even more alarming is the fact that 22 out of the 27 had contracted the disease through contact. It is learnt that 14 of the 22 persons have no travel history.
The persons who have tested positive on Sunday hail from Manacaud, Poonthura, Vallakkadavu, Pettah, Kamaleshwaram, Attukal, Muttathara, Uchakkada and Pulluvila regions. Meanwhile, Thiruvananthapuram Mayor K Sreekumar stated that the state capital is staring at a possible community transmission and strict restrictions must be enforced in order to bring the situation under control.
